Last week we started a new series in The Sequence focused on self-supervised learning(SSL). One thing that you will notice that you read through that series is that a lot of the relevant papers and tech comes from the Facebook AI Research(FAIR). This is because FAIR has become the main AI lab championing SSL but this is not an isolated pattern.
